Plant Audit
Plant Audit
Higgson carries the plant audit to enhance the plant capacity, increase the thermal efficiency and reduce the power consumption. Plant audit carried out in 2 phases
Phase#1 On-Site
- We shall depute our engineering with our instruments to carried out the measurement
- Our Engineering collect all the required drawing and sample from the plant
- Process Engineers will measure the plant’s operating parameters to the off-site calculation
Phase#2 Off-Site
- Detailed report on current operation Philosophy and shortcomings
- Concept for upgrading capacity and reduction in power consumption
- Analysis and check of major unit operations for capacity enhancement
- Basic engineering of pyro-process i.e. Weight, cost and ROI analysis
- Heat balance of pyro Process at existing & modified condition
- Special analysis of Kiln, PH Fan, Raw mill Fan, Cooler fan and venting fan
- Based on the finding, we shall provide the techno-commercial offer for the possible modification to achieve the desired capacity
Design and Engineering
Design and Engineering
Higgson utilize years of experience and latest modelling software to ensure 0% error while generating the GA and manufacturing drawing. Our design analysis is done on ANSYS to ensure highest quality and ensuring the flow pattern in the system and risk factor analysis affecting the system.
- Design & Engineering of All unit operation for cement Plant (Green + Brown Field)
- Design & Engineering of LOW NOx Calciner (Green + Brown field)
- Design & Engineering of ducts and chutes
- Design and engineering of inverted cone silo and material handling system.
- Design & Engineering of Nitrogen generation plant (fully automated system) cost of Nitrogen <0.05 USD/Nm3 which is 7 times lesser than the market cost.
SNCR System
SNCR System
The SNCR (Selective Non-Catalytic Reaction) process is a post combustion NOx reduction process by controlled injection of Aqueous Ammonia reagent into the combustion gases.
The important design and operational factors that affect NOx reduction by SNCR system:
- Appropriate temperature for SNCR System
- Location of suitable Temperature
- Resident time available in optimum temperature range
- Degree of mixing between injected reagent and combustion gases.
- Uncontrolled NOx concentration level
- Molar ratio of injected reagent to uncontrolled NOx
- Taking care of ammonia slip

Cement industry has a substantial interest in replacing fossil fuel with alternative fuels in order to minimize production costs and to reduce the CO2 emissions.
